Just For You ....

Hi everyone,

Firstly a warm welcome to my new followers  ~ how exciting.  I hope you are all well and not being affected by these dreadful floods ~ we have had our usual 'lake' outside the gates, but have managed to stay dry indoors.  DH reported that on the way home on the train last night they were going VERY slowly as you couldn't see the tracks or rails for water ~ scarey stuff!

Today I have a card that I made for a friend who has not been well for a while, she has been in and out of hospital and I just wanted to try and cheer her up a little without overtly saying 'Get well'.

As it was around Remembrance Day that I made and sent it I thought this Memory Box die was very apt.

Also, I have uncovered some gorgeous linen cardstock that I didn't realise I had which has given this card just the right texture.

Full Steam Ahead!

Hi everyone,

Finally I have found an hour or so to do some blogging!  It has been hectic here with forms (all to do with my MIL) swishing in and out of the post almost daily ~ if I see another form I might just scream!

Now my attention has turned to Christmas ~ for the first time since I left home (don't ask how long ago that was) I will be spending Christmas Day with my Dad.  The story is complicated, so I won't bore you ~ but suffice to say I am soooo excited and want everything to be just right!

Today I have a card I made for my Dad's Birthday, which was yesterday ~ so even if he does look on here it won't spoil the surprise now.

My Dad loves Steam Trains ~ so when I saw this digi image by Mo Manning earlier in the year I had to have it!

Also, a first for me ~ I have used a button on the card ~ I have quite a selection of buttons, but always struggle to incorporate them into the theme of a card ~ I am quite pleased with this one.

CARD RECIPE

Colouring Medium: Copics
Backing Papers: My Mind's Eye 'Kraft Funday Happy Days'

Right ~ now it's time for the Beardie tea time stroll round the block before they have their dinner.  It sound horrible out there ~ wet and windy, so I am not looking forward to going outside in all that.

Have a lovely evening.

Happy Halloween!

Hello,

Majik Beardie here again ~ Mom is really busy at the moment ~ something to do with company end of year accounts ~ whatever that is?  So, I have decided to fill in for her today.

In her infinite wisdom Mom decided after my groom on Sunday to take this photo ~ well I ask you what next a Santa hat?

We Beardies are all keeping an eye out for spooks and the like that might need a big barking at to shoo them away ~ we just hope no-one starts setting fireworks off as we are VERY scared of them ~ mind you it is cold and raining here, so that might keep them inside!

Anyway its time for our stroll round the block before it gets too dark (we don't want to bump into any ghosts or ghouls) and then it's Beardie dinner time ~ biscuits and chicken ~ yummy.

See you soon.

Love and Beardie hugs
Majik xxxx

Cheers!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are well and keeping warm!

I have not been around much in blogland because (drum role) I have had my first commission ~ yay!

Remember this card, well the recipient contacted me and asked if I could make it into Christmas cards for him and I said yes ~ well what else was I going to say!  They finally went in the post today all the way to Spain ~ yes I've gone international!  Will post some photos later.

Today I have a quick share ~ this is a card I made for a friend, who like me enjoys the odd glass of red.

I saw these stamps in a magazine feature earlier in the year and bought the whole set, ideal when you want a slightly quirky and humerous card ~ not everyone likes cute.

When I had finished colouring the image, I decided I didn't like the colour of her dress (blue), so I had a lightbulb moment ~ don't get many of those ~ and decided to paper piece it.  I think it works okay?

It doesn't show up on the photo, but I used Glossy Accents on the wine glass to make it sparkle.

CARD RECIPE

Colouring Medium: Copics
Backing Papers: Dovecraft ~ 'Sugar & Spice'
Sentiment: From the same stamp set
Craftwork Cards Card Candi
Nestabillities: Classic Circles Large

Well, must dash ~ housework to catch up on after all that card making ~ lol!

Have a lovely evening and weekend.

Majik Moments

Hello,

This is Majik Beardie here ~ Mom said I could have a go on her blog ~ after all it is named after me!  As you can see I have grown up a bit since the picture above, but I still think I look cute.

I live with Mom and Dad, who we have nicknamed 'The Bonio Provider' ~ hereinafter to be known as TBP ~ he goes off on the choo choo each day just to earn money to buy us all Bonios.  My fur family Bailey and Sorrell live here as well ~ they are Beardies too.

Every now and then we all go off on a mini adventure with a lot of other Beardies ~ this happened last Sunday.  We all went on a jolly nice ramble along the canal side and ended up in a pub ~ funny though ~ even though it was supposed to be OUR day out ~ only the uprights got to eat anything ~ not a chip or even a doggie biscuit to be had ~ I think we need to speak to the Bearded Collie Club committee about this!

Dad with us three Beardies
And they're off!

We are off again in just over a week and Mom keeps telling up we are going to ride on a choo choo ~ something called a steam train?  I wonder if that's like a sauna on wheels?

Well it has been really nice woofing with you all ~ hope to come back soon with more news from Beardie world.

Love and Beardie Hugs

Night Nurse

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well out there in blogland ~ and keeping warm in this chilly weather in the UK.

We went on one of our Bearded Collie Club rambles on Sunday ~ we were so lucky with the weather. It just started spitting with rain as were sat outside the pub having a bite to eat, but very quickly blowing over.  Majik Beardie has been pestering me to let her have a go on my blog (seeing as how it is named after her), she has been inspired by the antics of Daisy and Holly on THIS blog here ~ so watch this space, might publish one or two photos of our ramble as well.

Today I have a retirement card to share with you ~ I made this for a friend who just happens to be the wife of the Scottish gentleman who 'Braveheart Bo' below was made for and yes she is, or should I say was, a nurse ~ I see a theme going on here.

As I had to colour the little uniform in blue, I have tried to tie the rest of the card in with this colour theme ~ by-the-way she absolutely loved it!

Birthday Elephant

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well.

I have been missing in action for the last couple of weeks ~ firstly my Mom came to stay for a bit and try as I might I cannot concentrate on anything sensible when she is here and also I have been filling out a rather long and tedious legal form to apply to become a 'Deputy' for my MIL who is in a care home.  Boy, were those forms involved ~ there were four separate forms each averaging about 10 pages and one of the forms required a 'Practitioner' to fill out some of the details, so I dropped the form off at MIL's GP surgery and the receptionist said there would be a fee which I expected (I have worked in hospitals and GP surgeries for many years, so this was not a surprise).  What was a surprise was when I went to collect the form on Tuesday and was handed a bill for £77.95 ~ which was the fee for exactly three pages of GP handwriting!!  Anyhoo ~ the form is in the post now and that is another of the annoying 'lotto' balls in my head dealt with for now.

On to todays share, this is a card I made for my Hubby who's birthday it was at the beginning of the month ~ he loves 'flumps' as we call them ~ so this image was perfect.

Also, check out my new watermark for my blog photos ~ whit whoo!  The old one was very plain and did not 'drift' over the image ~ so after a bit of a Google I found THIS site run by a really lovely person called Dina Kowal who designed my new watermark all for the princely sum of $5.00.

Isn't he the cutest!

Braveheart Bo

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well.

We had an awful day weather wise here in Warwickshire yesterday (I think most people in the UK did) it rained and rained and rained ~ only clearing up at tea time.  There was a 'lake' outside our gates in the road because the drain that is there couldn't cope with the amount of water!

Today I have a Birthday card to share ~ made for a very good friend who just happens to be Scottish.  He and his wife are the breeders that two of our Beardies have come from ~ they show their dogs and every year at Crufts he wears his full Scottish regalia ~ I have photographic proof of this!  So, when I saw this image I thought it was perfect.

There is an awful lot of detail in this image and took me forever to colour it in!

Today I have a Birthday card to share ~ not made for anyone in particular ~ but will go in my card box for future use.

First time I have inked this stamp up ~ but it could fast become one of my favourites me thinks!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well.

Just a quick share today, as I am very busy ~ I am trying to get another eBay sale going and I forget how time consuming it is.

So, today I am sharing a card made for one of my friends.

Sweet Little Donkey

Hello everyone out there in blogland  .....

Firstly, I want to say a HUGE thank you to Debby who very kindly pointed out that she couldn't leave a comment on my blog ~ I checked this out and there was definitely a problem.  It worked when I first set up this blog and now it doesn't?  I spent some time checking all the settings and finally managed to get it working by enabling the little window that pops up on most peoples blogs to leave a comment ~ I will never know what went wrong, but I am very glad to have now sorted it.  So, if you have been trying to leave a comment and couldn't, it is now fixed.

Anyhoo, here is my share for today ~ a Birthday card for my Mom and her birthday is today.

My Mom adores donkeys so I thought this image was perfect.

I have decided my long winded descriptions of how the cards on this blog have been created are a little tedious to read, so I am going to try and just 'itemise' what I have used instead ~ let me know what you think.

CARD RECIPE:

Travelling Colours

Hi everyone,

Well, it could be the hottest day today and guess who is going to be standing (or sitting) around all afternoon at a Garden Party ~ I had better dig out the sunscreen!

My share for today is a card I have made for the Copic Marker Europe competition to celebrate their 1st  birthday online.  The image is one I had to apply for and the condition of getting it (and another one) free was that you enter the competition ~ the closing date for submissions is today, so I've only just done it in time!

The image is Krista Smith of Saturated Canary and called 'Travelling Colours' ~ isn't it gorgeous ~ I absolutely adore Saturated Canary images and this one is so cute.  She is coloured with Copic markers and I have distressed the image with Tim Holtz "Tumbled Glass' distress ink as the white card was too stark against the coloured background.  For the card base I have used one of my cut down hammered white card blanks and added a mat in purple card, the background papers are from the First Edition 'Dreamcatcher' paper pad and are adorable, both the image and the small contrasting piece of paper are mounted onto the same purple card.  The flourish is cut from purple pearlescent card using a Magnolia Doohickey die called 'Leaf & Swirl' and the flowers are paper flowers from my stash (sorry no name or branding on the packaging) fastened to the card base with Doodlebug sugar coated brads in lilac.  To finish I have punched three Butterflies from the same pearlescent card with a Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Butterfly punch and added lilac rhinestones.

I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this image in and hope you all like it.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great day.

What A Swing

Hi everyone,

Well, what wonderful weather we have been having here in Warwickshire ~ I have finally managed to get some serious gardening done ~ instead of pottering around in the greenhouse.

Today I would like to share a card I made for my Step Brother who lives in Southern Ireland and enjoys the odd round of golf.

I have printed out the image which is a digi image from Karen's Doodles called 'What A Swing' and coloured it in with my copics, I then ran it through my die cutting machine with a Nestabillities oval die (I don't know why, but every time I use this image it always ends up in a oval shape ~ it just seems to suit it somehow),  I have then mounted the image onto a piece of Bazzil Basics lime green card also cut with a slightly larger oval die.  For the base card I have used one of my cut down hammered white card blanks and layered with the same lime green card stock and some purple Bazzil Basics card stock, I then used two pieces of patterned paper from the Kaisercraft 'Lilac Avenue' Collection and hid the join with a piece of purple self adhesive ric rac, which I thought was more manly than ribbon!  I added a sentiment from Craftwork Cards 'Messages' pack which was coloured with a copic marker and to finish added three Craftwork Cards 'Candi' dots.   When it was all assembled I thought the image was a little too white, so I distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad in 'Old Paper' to tone it down.

I hope you all like it and thank you so much for visiting me today.

Stamp Storage

Hi everyone,

Two posts in two days ~ what is going on?

As promised I am back to share my new storage with you all.  As mentioned in my previous post, most of my crafty stash lost its home in the house renovations, so when I find something that seems like it was almost made for storing a particular item I do a 'happy' dance ~ lol.

So, 'drum roll' here it is.

Apologies for the picture, these grey days are no good for good photos.  This is my new stamp storage set of drawers.  It is from Ikea and called 'Alex', I don't name all my furniture, but Ikea give names to everything.

I am so chuffed with this, it comes in white or black and came flat packed (as most Ikea stuff does) but was real easy to put together, DH did most of the work, with me supervising!

Each drawer holds at least two layers of stamps and even I haven't managed to fill them all up in one go ~ need to buy some more then!

Well that's it for today, except to say that it hasn't stopped raining since I got up this morning and I was forced to take three very shaggy dogs out in the rain ~ well what a picture the four of us must have looked by the time we got back home ~ my trouser bottoms were dripping on the floor!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend.

Rockin All Over The World!

Hi everyone,

It is me the elusive blogger ~ busy busy again.  After all the work we had done on the house last year (and some this year) I have struggled to get everything straight again ~ I do like things straight!  There is a lot of finishing off to do and a lot of things seem to have lost their homes and keep re-appearing around the house.  DH loves this because all of a sudden there is something where there wasn't something before and rather than look where he is going he trips over it (no matter how big the item is) and swears a lot!  His two biggest bug bears are my cardboard box mountain ~ literally ~ in the workshop and my eBay mountain ~ again literally ~ on the landing, of course the two go hand in hand, I sell stuff on eBay and need boxes to send it out, he doesn't quite see this train of thought!

I have been busy organising another sale on eBay and trying to sort out my craft room.  A lot of my craft stuff lost its home in the work ~ I have been having a major sort out (hence the eBay sale) and re-organising the way everything is stored.  I will be posting my latest storage solution on here tomorrow ~ just because I am so excited about it ~ lol.

Anyhoo, enough of all that.  My share today is a card that I made for a friend who now lives in Spain.  He is mad about Status Quo and I was thrilled to find this image for free on the tinter web.

For this card I used one of my famous cut down hammered white card blanks, the background papers are from the Echo Park 'Yours Truly' paper pad.  I have mounted 'Francis' onto a piece of metallic grey glossy card stock and then again onto a piece of blue Bazzil Basics card stock, I was trying to pick out the colour of his denims.  To finish I have added a black grosgrain ribbon, three blue Craftwork Cards 'Candi' dots and a sentiment also from Craftwork Cards which has a Josy Rose nail head attached to it, so it looks like a brad.

I do hope you all like it.

I'll be back tomorrow with my storage photo.

Thanks for stopping by.

50th Anniversary Card

Hi everyone

Apologies for anyone who has been waiting for my next creation ~ I have had a busy couple of weeks and we were away this weekend on a Beardie ramble, which was most enjoyable ~ even the weather favoured us.

I have a 50th Anniversary card to share today, which was made for a couple of dear friends who we know from where we used to live.

I have used a white card blank (I do not know where these originally came from ~ but I sure wish I could get some more as they are lovely quality and texture and come with cute brown envelopes which look like brown parcel wrapping paper), onto this I have printed the sentiment using the 'Fabulous 50's' font and then used a paper pricker and my Tim Holtz ruler to prick tiny holes either side ~ I was totally inspired by THIS gorgeous card that Michelle Short made ~ thank you for the inspiration Michelle {hugs}.  I then used a piece of kraft card and used the QuicKutz Sweetheart embossing folder (I am not sure this is still available ~ but it can be purchased off eBay, but mostly from the USA) to emboss tiny little hearts all over it, this was then mounted on to a piece of red Bazzill Basics card and the same card used to cut out the three hearts using the MFT 'Hearts a Plenty' die.  The hearts looked a little plain, so I came up with the idea of stamping them with the Papertrey Ink 'Fancy Flourishes' stamp using Memento Brilliance ink in 'Platinum Planet' ~ oohh I do love this ink pad ~ it is simply gorgeous, I have taken a slightly sideways photo of the card (getting clever now!) to show the pearlescent shimmer this ink has.  The hearts were mounted onto the kraft card ~ two with a tape pen and one with 3D fixers.  To finish I used three self adhesive pearls from my stash.

Well that's me for today ~ thank you for stopping by and for any most welcome comments you may make.

Bella With Balloons

Hi everyone,

Just popped on to share a card that I made for my Step Mother's birthday which was on Wednesday.

I couldn't resist using this 'Wild Rose Studio Bella With Balloons' stamp, I have been waiting for an appropriate opportunity to ink her up!  I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Craftwork Cards Digital Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock and then coloured it in using Copics.  I have then cut a mat out using some pink docrafts Papermania Textured Cardstock (the pack it came from is called 'Sizzling Red Hot'), the base card is again one of my cut down hammered white card blanks which I have layered with another piece of the pink Papermania card and then layered again with a very pretty paper from the First Edition 'Dreamcatcher' paper pad.  To the side I then stamped the balloon from the Stampin Up 'Crazy for Cupcakes' set and although it is hard to make out on the photo, I have stamped the actual balloon out again and then coloured with copies to match the other balloons in the image and attached with silicone glue.  The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and this is mounted onto another piece of the pink cardstock and attached with 3D fixers.  I sat the card on my desk for a day or two and decided it needed an 'edging' around the patterned paper, so with a ruler and a Marvy Le Plume pen in colour no 57 'Rose Pink' I drew faux stitching all around the edge ~ hope you like it.

Woo-hoo ~ I have found out how to make my photos bigger on blogger ~ purely by accident.  They look so much better now.

Twit Twoo!

Hi everyone,

I'm back after a short absence, the builders are back.  More work, but nothing major this time, all the same I find it hard to concentrate or in fact get anything done when they are here!

Today I have a card that I have made to enter into the Sketch N Stash 88 challenge.

For this card I took one of my A5 white hammered card blanks and cut it down to make a square card blank {old stash}.  I have then taken a piece of Papertrey Ink 'Perfect Match' cardstock in Ocean Tides and cut a square slightly smaller than my card blank, I have then layered onto this a piece of My Mind's Eye paper from the 'True Blue' collection {new stash}.  For the border on the left I have used more Papertrey Ink Ocean Tides and layered over this with another piece of My Mind's Eye paper from the same collection.  The image is Whimsey Stamps ~ 'Whimsey Owl' (the link takes you to a Digi Image version) and he was stamped onto a piece of Craftwork Cards 'Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock' with Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad, coloured in using Copics and then run through my Grand Calibur with a Netabillities circle die.  The image was then mounted onto a mat cut from the Papertrey Ink Ocean Tides cardstock.  To finish I have used a scrap of ribbon {old stash} from my ribbon scraps box (there was literally only just enough to tuck under the edges) a Prima flower and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards which has been colour tinted with VersaMagic ink in 'Oasis Green' to tone with the colours of the rest of the card and finally some Jose Rose nail heads - whew!!

Thank you for visiting and for any of your lovely comments ~ always welcome.

Just Saying Hello ...

Hi Everyone

As I write the rain has started falling again, I just managed to get the dogs out for a walk before it started.

We have new neighbours, well they haven't moved in yet, but are busy decorating and preparing for the move.  So, the card for today is a 'New Home' card.

Now first of all I am a bit annoyed about the colour reproduction on this photo, I took several in different locations and none showed the vibrant orange colour as it should be.

For the base card I have taken a piece of Craftwork Cards Softies cardstock and then cut a border across the middle from the same cardstock and attached a piece of tangerine (yes it really is a vibrant tangerine) polka dot grosgrain ribbon (sorry I do not know where this came from) around this before attaching it to the base card.  The image is a Stampendous stamp called 'Home Tweet Home' and this was stamped onto a piece of the Craftwork Cards Softies cardstock and coloured with Copics.  I have then taken a piece of Papermania textured cardstock in a matching tangerine colour (this was from a pack called 'Warm Sunshine' which has 6 different colours in it) and cut a mat which has been added to the card with 3D foam pads.  The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and was cut out with my Stampin' Up punch 'Word Window' and mounted onto a piece of the Papermania card which was cut out with my Stampin' Up punch 'Modern Label'.  The card was finished off with Doodlebug rhinestones.

Thank you for visiting today, have a good afternoon.

Westie Wishes

Hi everyone,

Well another miserable day weather wise, I have just done a second load of dog towels in the washing machine and am fast gathering another pile!!

I have a Birthday card to show today which is for someone who's Birthday is tomorrow (I don't think she looks at my blog so it is safe to post it today).  The person who it is intended for has a Westie so I thought this DigiStamp Boutique image was perfect.

Using one of my 'cut down' hammered white card blanks I have rounded the corners back and front with my WRMK Corner Chomper.  I have then taken a piece of K&Company 'Brenda Walton' design patterned paper from my scraps box (this is very old stash so I would be surprised if it was still available)  cut it to size and again rounded off the bottom corners.  A piece of My Mind's Eye floral patterned paper was used for the border across the middle, this came from my scraps box also (oh what a good girl I've been) and was a free paper pad with Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine ages ago.  Around this I have wrapped a piece of pink organza ribbon from my ribbon scraps box, there was only just enough to make the little bow.  The image which is called 'Mac & Flowers' was printed onto Craftwork Cards Digital Cardstock and coloured with my Copics  it was then mounted onto yet another piece of card from my scraps box which had been cut using a Nestabilities 'Lacey Circle' die and mounted to the base card with 3D adhesive squares.  To finish off a Craftwork Cards sentiment which I have rubbed over with a Dew Drop chalk ink pad in 'Pixie Dust' to tone in with the card and mounted onto a little mat cut with my Stampin' Up Large Oval punch which seems the perfect size and shape for these sentiments.  Finally, I have used three JosyRose nail heads for which I am eternally grateful to Jules for pointing me towards these, they are fabulous and I want loads more … lol!!!!!

Right that's it for today ~ my photos are marginally better, but I would love them to look bigger on my blog once the post is published ~ I look at other peoples photos and they seem so much nicer than mine, but I can't find a tool on blogger to change the picture size.  If anyone out there knows the trick I would be most eternally grateful .....

Thank you for visiting today.

Birthday Girl!

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a card that I made for my gorgeous dog Majik for her 5th birthday, I know totally soppy, but I don't have children so I have to spoil someone.  This is another first for me because I am going to attempt to enter a challenge with this card, the challenge is Wags 'n Whiskers Anything Goes.

So, I have taken one of my cut down white hammered card blanks and then layered this with a square of brown Bazzil Basics and another square of white hammered card.  The image is Whimsey Stamps 'Cupcake Bliss', this was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with Copics.  The image was cut out and mounted onto a rectangle of bone patterned DCWV 'The Pets Stack' paper and more brown Bazzil Basics card.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a Stampin' Up oval punch.  I added pink ribbon and the paw brad from my stash.

Again apologies for the photo, hopefully when enlarged it will look a little better!

Tatty Teddy Congratulations

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card which is for my Step-Sister's daughter who is our God Daughter who passed her driving test last week.

As she absolutely loves anything to do with Tatty Teddy this was an obvious choice, the image was printed from my computer from pre-loaded docrafts CD Rom software and was pre-coloured so this determined the colours for the rest of the card.  I used a lemon pearlescent pre-scored card, which had been cut down from an A5 size (I don't like big cards), I then used a piece of aqua pearlescent card as a mat and another piece of the lemon card which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I then used a piece of aqua ribbon from my ribbon scraps box tied into a bow before mounting the Tatty Teddy image which had been cut out with a Nestabilities circle die onto a pearlescent aqua scallop edged mat, again from one of those pre-die cut sheets.  The card was then finished off with a sentiment stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink from the Waltzingmouse Stamps 'Frame-It' set and this was again adhered to an aqua mat.  The banner shape was made using a square punch and I would like to say a very big thank you to Debby for this tip on her blog.  I then sat back and looked at my card and felt it was a bit unbalanced to I used three aqua flower brads to finish it off.

I do apologise for the photo quality, I am experimenting with my new camera which has so many buttons and menu systems it is totally confusing - must try harder!

Late Easter Card!

Hi everyone,

A belated Happy Easter to you all ......

The sun is shining today, but it is very cold.  Yesterday it rained all day long, our poor doggies were not very happy at all!

As promised the Easter card I have to share.  It is late because I have yet another bug making me feel grotty and the weekend was spent trying to regain some order in our house/garden/workshop after months of building work.  I also had some auctions ending on eBay, so the weekend was pretty busy.

Using one of my A5 hammered white cards cut down to size I have used a square of green patterned paper which is from the Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue collection and wrapped a piece of pink organza ribbon from my ribbon scraps box around before attaching to the base card.  Then I have used a piece of pink patterned paper from a Papermania Honey & Hugs paper pack that was free with a magazine ages ago.  The image is from the DigiStamp Boutique called Easter Collection 2 and this has been coloured with Copic markers and then mounted on to a green Bazzil Basics card mat.  The flowers are from an unmarked pack, so I don't know who makes them and they have been attached to the card with Doodlebug sugar coated brads in Bumblebee (I absolutely adore these brads, so much so I have just ordered a whole load more).  The sentiment was computer generated and attached with 3D pads.

Hoping to share some more creations with you all soon ...... keep watching.

Say Thank You With Pooh!

Hi everyone

A slight improvement on the weather here today, I was out and about yesterday (doesn't happen very often) and got completely frozen and wet, typical!

This card was a request from DH, he had stayed with friends whilst working away from home and wanted a 'Thank You' card.  His request was for a card with Winnie The Pooh and a Bee!!  The reason for this was that he had been given a jar of honey on his departure as they keep bees.  A challenge to say the least, I have no Winnie The Pooh stamps or images.  I decided to get on the tinterweb and see if I could find any digi images, I was most surprised to find a website offering coloured and black and white images to be coloured for FREE!  So, image selected it was downloaded and I thoroughly enjoyed colouring it in.

I first downloaded the Winnie The Pooh image from a website called just-pooh.com, re-sized it and printed it out.  The image is coloured with Copic markers and then mounted onto a black mat.  The border is the Martha Stewart Picket Fence edge punch and this has been trimmed with a piece of lavender ribbon from my ribbon scraps box.  I finished off with flowers punched with my Woodware Daisy punch and fastened to the card with Doodlebug sugar coated brads in Bumblebee - very appropriate!  The sentiment is Hobby Art (CS016D General Greetings) and was stamped directly onto the card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I have an Easter card to share next time, so watch this space.......

Have A Heart!

Hi everyone

I couldn't post this card on here until now as it was for my DH for our wedding anniversary which was on Sunday.

I used a piece of Kraft paper and stamped the Hero Arts "Old French Writing' all over it with Tim Holtz distress ink pad in 'Antique Linen', I then over stamped this with the Penny Black 'Love Is The Message' stamp in Memento 'Lady Bug'.  This was then mounted onto a piece of co-ordinating red card stock and fixed to a black pre die cut mat (I have sheets of these lurking in my craft room and have no idea where they came from), the whole thing was then adhered to a basic white card and the sentiment from Hobby Art (CS016D General Greetings) stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, to finish I have used three black rhinestones.

I love this stamp as it could be used for so many occasions, in this case I have tried with the colours to make a more masculine card.

DH was impressed, although he did say he wasn't sure about the black mat!
