I couldn't post this card on here until now as it was for my DH for our wedding anniversary which was on Sunday.
I used a piece of Kraft paper and stamped the Hero Arts "Old French Writing' all over it with Tim Holtz distress ink pad in 'Antique Linen', I then over stamped this with the Penny Black 'Love Is The Message' stamp in Memento 'Lady Bug'. This was then mounted onto a piece of co-ordinating red card stock and fixed to a black pre die cut mat (I have sheets of these lurking in my craft room and have no idea where they came from), the whole thing was then adhered to a basic white card and the sentiment from Hobby Art (CS016D General Greetings) stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, to finish I have used three black rhinestones.
I love this stamp as it could be used for so many occasions, in this case I have tried with the colours to make a more masculine card.
DH was impressed, although he did say he wasn't sure about the black mat!

Hello everyone. Well, this is my first venture into blogging, it may be a bit sporadic to start with as I get to grips with the fundamentals, but hopefully I will get there!
This is a card that I made for a very good friend who (wait for it) has recently been blessed with nine Bearded Collie puppies.
I first took an A5 white hammered pre-scored card blank and cut it down to a 15cm square (I am trying to use up some old stash), the image is a digi image from Whimsey Stamps called 'Dog Song' and this was coloured with Copics and then mat and layered. The border is an EK Success border punch 'Paw Prints' and this has been trimmed with ribbon. The sentiment was computer generated and punched out using the Stampin' Up 'Word Window' punch and mounted onto coloured card stock punched with the Stampin' Up 'Modern Label' punch
